Friday at the Upper Thames Conservation Area
So much fun and learning took place during our field trip on Friday. Students were divided into two groups because of our numbers and then took part in two workshops. In one session, students had an opportunity to learn how to use a compass and applied spatial/direction information in a hunt to find stations using a map. The other session, put all of their habitat knowledge into play when discussing food chains and playing a game of Survival. Overall, we were able to avoid most of the crazy weather and had such an active day that the students were so exhausted when we got back to school. Thank you so much to Mrs. Casaubon, Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Schiedel for time and energy volunteering for this trip...It was very appreciated by all.
